Gerard Way: Years Gone By
Any true My Chemical Romance fan will already know that Gerard Way didn’t look exactly how we imagined he would look back in high school. In fact, our predictions were far from true. People change a lot since the age of 6 up until their current age, unless that person is 7 of course. Gerard Way is a prime example of this as it is not just his appearance that has changed, its his talent in music and success that has changed as well. Today we’re going to focus on his appearance and for that, we have some special photos for you to study:

My Chemical Romance – Danger Days: The True Live of the Fabulous Killjoys Review
Lets start off with saying that I am a big fan of MCR and I don’t want you to think this review is a bit biased. The beginning of this kicks off with a DJ intro as the record seems to set itself in a post-apocalyptic wasteland of pop culture. As the album progresses, popular singles such as “Na Na Na” emerge as it hits multiple genres of rock music.
Most music fans are aware of the early single “Na Na Na” which has a video that features comic writer Grant Morrison. Before founding My Chemical Romance, Gerard Way was a comic book writer. The track and video definitely defines the record. The catchy anthem gets fans rocking it out all the way. Personally, I love the way MCR have structured the whole album with different genres such as power-pop jams like “Bulletproof Heart” and ballades like “SING”. A dance track which was added to Danger Days was of course “Planetary (GO!)“. One of the aims was to draw attention from science fiction movies like Blade Runner and Logan’s Run with some musical features. For example, “DESTROYA” and “Party Poison” were used to do this.
Lyrics in most singles are awesome and most tell an emotional story. The only song that I didn’t enjoy, and I know not a lot of people enjoyed it, was ‘The Only Hope For Me Is You’. It’s pretty standard broken heart fare, and as a result of that it becomes boring.
Bottom line is, the album it strong, awesome, rocking material. It is worth every penny and is crammed with a lot of fun. Danger Days: The True Live of the Fabulous Killjoys has certainly built up the well respected image of My Chemical Romance and all the band members and management. I would strongly suggest that you get out there and buy it.
